The Bills headed down to Jacksonville with high hopes for a big dub, but ended up getting smacked in the mouth and taught a lesson by ole Urban. Let’s break down why I’m not surprised in the #postgamewrapup.

Some Dissension

I was worried about seeing this side of the Bills offense. The loss to the Titans was one that should have been a W, and that should have led this team to a new attitude. It didn’t as they came out sloppy after the bye week to the Dophins, but eventually finished it off. Today, like the Titans game, the offense looked anemic and Josh Allen heavy. What I have also noticed is a frustrated Emmanuel Sanders. I don’t really blame him, but I wondered how long until his good guy old head persona would be frayed by Allens erratic plays.

The Patriots Might Be Better

The Bills came into this week a darling, with an ego and ready to rock. They were called out at the LOS by JAX all day long, and the Jags were able to confuse Josh Allen for 4 quarters. At no point did the offensive line have any control over the LOS on runs or passes, and that is understandable when you consider 2 lineman out. Buffalo has weak depth at the OL position, and it showed today. We struggle against strong defensive lines, like the Steelers. The Jaguars and Titans both beat us up physically, despite Allens tenacity. The Patriots are right behind us in the division, but I think we better wake up because they might be better.

Defense was Decent

The defense wasn’t exactly bad today. The Offense, mainly the QB, held the team back. The defense wasn’t great, but they were able to stimey a Jags offense for most of the game. The Jaguars passers accounted for a combined 150 yards, and they rushed for less than 100. The defense was stout. 9 points usually wins you an NFL game. The Bills probably saved a few plays in the playbook but clearly were underprepared for an NFL team that knows they belong.
