Well, hangovers have officially begun in Nashbill 2021, and though the loss stings, the Bills still have a lot too look forward to in 2021. A moral loss sure, and Bills fans will need the bye to go get tested and recover from a weekend worth of pissy beer and stale cigs. EYEYEEYEY! Let’s break it down on the Postgamewrapup lol

King of Kings

Henry did what Henry does. The Titans did nothing spectacular offensively, and contained Henry for most of the game. One big run where 3 players were held was all Henry really broke, and it was the cool hand of Ryan Tannehill who was able to repetitively hit his open man when he needed to. Henry went for 143, and Tannehill was quiet with only 18 completions for 216 yards. Tremaine Edmunds was a force throughout, playing his keys and for the most part popping Henry a few times.

The Titans played their game at home, and they played Josh Allen exactly how they wanted to.

Decisions, Decisions

Allen threw for 353 yards and only had 12 incompletions out of 37 attempts. He wasn’t awful, but he wasn’t perfect either. The Titans wanted him to dink and dunk under the umbrella of the zone all night. He did for the most part, but it was in a few crucial moments that he missed the right read.

In the first half he took a huge sack and missed Dawson Knox on a crossing hot route.

Diggs also missed in end zone back left corner.

Later on he would choose to force a ball into an impossible window on 3rd and 17 rather than let Moss take the ball on a wide open swing route to play for field position.

I also have him missing Cole Beasley on the pylon in the final drive, where he decided to throw to Sanders in the back of the end zone.

Allen also ran the sneak poorly not only in the final drive, but earlier in the game as well.

The Offensive line was decent, but the Titans did a great job of containing Josh in a web all night long.

But……

I will say, Josh Allen won the game by getting the first down on 3rd down. Went from a first down to a radio call down from ref according to Sean McDermott? I thought it at least warranted a replay. The replay also conveniently kept speeding up as Allens back landed out of bounds with the ball in his opposite hand. Either way, they couldn’t get the push to win the game on 4th, and that lack of push is why they lost.

Titans Prove The Belong

The Bills will be back after the bye, and though they didn’t get the win today, they could see Tennessee again. The defense was not able to get to Ryan Tannehill at all, as he was barely touched all night. The Titans had only 3 corners ready to play and faced several injuries, including Taylor Lewan. They overcame and despite the Bills final push down the field, bent but didn’t break and moved into a commanding lead in their division as well. Now that Arthur Smith is long gone and not succeeding in Atlanta, the Titans offense is beginning to slide into form. They will be, as we predicted preseason, one of the biggest tests for the Bills to get to a Super Bowl int he AFC.
