The Bills bandwagon was a rockin in the first half, as the Bills showed signs of a Halloween Bye week hangover, but they were able to finish off the Dolphins in a dominant fashion in the final stanza. Let’s break down the horror and the hype in the #postgamewrapup.

Tuas Ukulele Song Ends

Tua’s probably done.

Bills Awake from the Dead

Buffalo wasn’t able to behead Derrick Henry and the Titans the last time they took the field, which surprisingly wasn’t enough for them to come back with an edge in the first half. The Bills looked sluggish and surprised, and several dressed up as if this wasn’t going to be an AFC East fight on Halloween. Josh looked borderline hungover, and sloppy at best, though athletic and wild as ever. Eventually his body isn’t going to be able to do some of these Superman things, a la Cam Newton, but today he was a hero.

Beasy Does It

When the going got tough, who was it that came up time after time for his QB and his team? Little man Cole Beasley was HUGE in the 2nd half, racking up several key opportune moments for the Bills to start to gain the advantage. Josh was able to settle in and find a rhythm, and the Bills started to step on the throat as the fans began to feel good about themselves again. No Bills fan will be able to bitch about Beasley for a while, at least as long as he keeps playing tough and leading by example. He is one of few veterans on this young Bills roster.

Bills Can Win Ugly This Week

My big question mark on the podcast for this week was Can the Bills Win Ugly?

Well, this week they did that. Though they did show a little lack of composure in the first half, it is a clear sign of how badly this team cares about losing. When you have a coach and QB who hate losing this badly, that’s a good sign for Bills fans. Allen was able to endure an ugly first half and lead his men across the goal line, but he will need to continue to build his playbook to beat each and every team.

“Find A Way”

In the postgame conference, Josh Allen took the stand in his pregame garb, emulating his offseason pal Phil Mickelson. What I found particularly pleasing was his stoic direction and desire to be better. He also was clear, and repetitive in his words, echoing a clear team mantra- “Find a Way.” He also touched on something he mentioned he said in his on-field postgame presser- that the Bills know they just want to be “the best team on the field,” as opposed to needing to be the best team in the NFL every week. He certainly is a srapper.

I LIKE THAT.

Party On Wayne

It’s going to be easy to lose the killer instinct that is required to go 15-2. Especially when the Bills have a few easy layups the next few weeks, including a trip to the Urban Meyer led Jaguars. We will be back on Wednesday with the Humpday Checkdown and hope everyone has a beautiful Halloween!

Until next time! The General Moves Onward. He is now 6-1 Against the Dolphins.
