The Bills are hot but the Jags are playing in Londontown for the second consecutive week. Did you hear that the Bills new stadium will be based on Tottenhem Hotspur? I have, 45k times! Let’s Get Right to Business!
Bills Better Not Come Out Soft
The Bills are definitely hot right now, but they shouldn’t be riding too high, because they haven’t done anything yet. There’s a long way to go, and despite the confidence being warranted, this is an AFC game. It counts. Tre White injury, All the buzz of Von Miller returning, Game in London, a world at war, there’s many distractions that could stymie this Bills team today. They must remain vigilant and steadfast to defeat this testy Jags team.
Bronze Visor and HIs QB
Doug Pederson has done something no one on this Bills team but Von Miller has done, win a Super Bowl. He is forever enshrined in Philly in bronze form, and he wouldn’t have taken this job if he didn’t think QB Trevor Lawrence had what it takes to get there. They have added more weaponry with Calvin Ridley to a strong WR corps. The Bills defense will be tested in the secondary, so look for Tyler Rapp to see more package work with Poyer returning and White out. Can’t let Trevor get out and use his legs because he can hurt you with them. Shaq and Groot being out doesn’t help, but Von does.
Prediction
I mentioned I hope the Bills don’t come out slow. The Jags can’t afford to either though. The Bills run game has proven to be a force, and if it does get shut down then Allen will need to protect the ball. Can the DL get to Lawrence and make his day hell in foggy London town? I think so. Look for the defense to step up today and let’s hope for more healthy, turnover free football for the Bills, now that 17 is back in “bright lights” of sorts. Jags are tough, Etienne is tough, but Allen and Digs and Von are tougher.
26-17 Bills
