It’s gameday. Let’s get down to business and chat what the Bills need to do to come out on top today in OP.
Stop Mike White
Mike White can get white hot, and he’s earned this Bills fan’s respect. He may have thrown 4 INTs in the Bills game last year, but I believe he’s come a long way since then, and so has his squad. They’re tough, and talented on offense. Luckily, and unfortunately, Breece Hall won’t be playing today against the Bills, but he is a rising star and hopefully will be back as good as ever. White doesn’t seem to be afraid of the moment, and guys like that want to come back from a game like last year.
White will test the the D for 4 quarters, if he doesn’t have his papers shuffled physically.

Bills Injuries
The last few years have been somewhat decent when it comes to injuries, as a Buffalo squad is typically deep and youthful. This year has been different. I’m not sure if there is more precaution this year than ever, with so much to lose, but it seems that this season there have been more injuries than we’ve ever seen with this Brandon Beane era. This week, the injury carousel features questionable early status for Dawkins and Milano. Unfortunate.
Allen Must Be Smart
He always has to be smart, but these are the games that he can LOSE if he doesn’t. Much like he did to a soft Zach WIlson in NJ, we’ve seen Allen capable of throwing a game into the gut of the opponent. If he doesn’t play smart both from a passing standpoint, and running, he’ll put himself in a muddy situation. He’d be smart to play quickly and precisely, using his slot weapons and running backs over and over. Death by a million cuts will beat this Jets team if the Bills D can be themselves.
Bills D
Von Miller is out, so no sense crying. It’s gameday. He won’t be playing, so it will be on the rest of this squad to step up to the plate. Who’s going to be the closer? Poyer has been special, and when he plays the Bills have won. Milano makes a huge difference when he’s out there, so fingers crossed. Ed Oliver has been special, and I don’t see Greg Rousseau on the injury report, so looking forward to watching his career trajectory continue after a quiet injury ridden few weeks.
Prediction
It’s always hard to say who shows up for this Buffalo team after something so sinister as a 2 week late finding that your ‘closer’ is out for the season. The Bills will not rely on who got them here, including even John Brown. Isaiah Mckenzie has proven to be a force offensively, and I must say has proven to be a true WR. I think that even though Von is out, this team has found enough in their hearts that allows them to know they can beat anyone, if they finish.
I think today the Bills offense executes well, and understands that a slippery ball game doesn’t mean anything different, just be safe. They will rock and roll if they adjust accordingly, and don’t try to do too much in the pass game. Death by a thousand cuts, and allow the defense to score a few for you. Defense shows up big on slop plays and tipped balls. Maybe even a Trey play?
