We have a historic day on only the second day of 2022! Happy New Year to Bills fans, as we have the first official GUEST POST from longtime family football friend Matt Hull. A Look back into the Drew Bledsoe era, in a late season matchup with Pittsburgh, with an opportunity to go to the playoffs. It starts like many true Bills fans’ tales from the Ralph start… “I remember this game….”
#OTD in 2005 the Buffalo Bills can make the playoffs simply by beating the Steelers backups in the season finale. Incredibly enough and aided by a Bledsoe fumble returned for a TD and a Lindell miss of a 28-yard FG, the Bills lose 29-24. pic.twitter.com/hiISOtCzjt

I remember this game-
It was my last ‘in stadium’ as a psycho fan. Was 27. I was sitting 12 rows up behind the Steelers bench.
It was close at end, tried getting in the kickers head because it was cold, and he wasn’t wearing sleeves and jersey sleeves tucked under pads showing of his large biceps.
It was close.. the Bills had a chance to take control after taking the lead.. Checkout the gamecast here on ESPN
I kept screaming.. PUT DOWN THE LUGGAGE REED!
I kept screaming “put down the luggage, Reed!” …
Reed would make 2 kicks, and Bledsoe would fumble.
He spent the last few minutes, with helmet off, blowing me kisses….
No amount of Bud Light could shake off the fact that he emasculated me in an instant.
He probably did me a favor saving me a ton of money going back throughout the years…
Jeff Reed #3 – I thank you
Or maybe I emasculated him LOL
Thanks for sharing this tale Matty! True Bills Fans know.
