BLEUMAFIA began with a season preview each year, and was ignited by the spirit of the Bills in the 2019 campaign where I was able to secure a Season Pass and get a look at 17 and the boys up close 8x. Everyone is doing their thing picking the Bills W/L predictions so let’s go through a quick game by game rundown for the 2021 BLEUMAFIA Season Prediction. We will utilize the 3rd episode’s quarterly szn breakdown for a little assistance. For this exercise, we will pick each game from this point, but you can expect to see this bold prediction change based on scenario over the year.

Quarter 1 – Swag Proof

Quarter 2 – Time to Shine

Quarter 3 – Toughness Test

Quarter 4 – Survive And?

You can find my audio/video breakdown on these 4 quarters over on the pod.

Quarter 1 Offers a chance for The General and the Boys of Summer to Prove their Swag.

Steelers

With the opening game against the Steelers, the Bills will have an angry old dog in town to get vengeance and try and set the tone in the AFC. Big Ben has a stable of horses with returners JuJu and Claypool, and burner Dionte Johnson. Added to offense includes TE Pat Friermuth from Penn State and RB Najee Harris but questions surrounding the young OL shadow Ben’s aging wishes. The defense also steps up with Devin Bush returning and 2 new LBs and DBs in the starting lineup.

Bills Defense too much for Big Ben yet again, though a terrific effort and positive comes from Loss for Pit. Bills W. (1-0)

Dolphins

Tua may be getting cuckholded by his own front office, as rumors of Watson to South Beach still swirl in the coke-soaked ivory toilet that is Miami. The team will always have to deal with challenges of distraction off the field, but with new friends on the field I expect Tua to turn some heads this year, at least in fair weather. He can’t play in conditions, but Jaylen Waddle will help immediately. The Bama product joins the young QB in question along with TE Gasieki, but the Dolphins didn’t get a new RB. Why I think they go .500 or below.

Bills struggle with heat, but deliver knockouts late as Defense forms new identity of QB killer. (2-0)

Football Team (Washington)

Fitzmagic’s coming home, and hopefully the Bills don’t play too nice because the defense is troublesome and Fitzy will still be in the glory stage of the Fitz-cycle. This game could get written off as a dub, but I find a lot of challenge here. Fitzy will be gunning to get the crowd against the Heavyweight Josh Allen, and the WFT defensive attack can make a lot of noise wherever they go. They went toe-to-toe with the Bucs and have a lot of heart, this one will be tough.

I have us taking a humbling loss at home. (2-1)

Texans

Houston is led by none other than Tyrod Taylor as the Bills could face back to back Buffalo journeymen. The Texans are not going in the right direction, and they’re going to lose a lot. Tryrod will try, but whoever is playing QB won’t have nearly enough ammo to shootout with the Bills.

Big W for Bills. (3-1)

The 2nd Quarter of the Season Is What I Call “Time to Shine” Bills can Show they Belong

Chiefs

Primetime Josh Vs. Patrick is certain for a forecast of fireworks and flash, and the Bills defense returns to Arrowhead looking a little different this year. The team has seen what it takes to be beaten, and the Bucs gave the recipe to at least outscoring the Chiefs, as our D-line will be ramped up to rip Mahomes apart. The bottom line is the Chiefs are back to back Super Bowl contenders, and realistically they will be great again this year. But I think our D – Line is better this year and their skill positions are the same.

Bills survive late and secure W. (4-1)

Titans

At this stage, I’m not exactly sure why the Titans aren’t getting more press as being one of the top front runners to take the AFC. With the 3 headed monstar that is Derek Henry, AJ Brown, Julio Jones, it won’t matter they have Ryan Tanehill as their frontman. He can sling it when he needs to, and he understands how to run their offense. I don’t know why we have to go play on their turf again? I have us taking a tough loss after a (convenient) KC battle 1 week prior.

Titans run rock and win ugly. (possible rain/mud) (4-2)

Dolphins

As the Dolphins come into Highmark, they will have a bit of swagger and think they can take the Bills this time around. They may be right as expectations and pressure begins to set in on the Bills, who many see as SuperBowl or bust. Can the Dolphins beat the Bills on their own turf? I think they can, but I don’t think they do. The Bye week will have been helpful.

Bills secure confidence with establishing (needed) divisional win. (5-2)

Jaguars

Though I do fully expect Trevor Lawrence to be an outstanding pro, this year will be a challenge for him. Though I do think Urban Meyer will figure out how to manage an NFL locker room, I don’t think either have it all figured out by week 9. The Jaguars will seek to go toe-to-toe with the Bills and expect a lot of fireworks. This could be where we find out Lawrence is the real deal. (If we haven’t already) The defense will come through if the O doesn’t blow them out.

Bills Win by a couple. (6-2)

The 3rd Quarter of the Year is the Toughness Test

Jets

Robert Selah got a taste of Bills football during his test on primetime last year with the 49ers. The difference is now he has control of the castle, and he doesn’t have Nick Mullens playing Q. The babyface Zach Wilson has a lot of people getting their hopes up, but I’m not totally sure why. I know he throws a PRETTY ball, and can spin it with anyone, but I don’t know if he’s the leader you need to be to run the Jets. I have a sneaky suspicion he’s up for the challenge though and his spirit will carry the Jets into the future. Just not this day.

Bills take the boots to him though he has Jets with a chance, Bills win. (7-2)

Colts

Carson Wentz is what I call a “glass slipper” QB, but when he is on the field, he can lead a team. The Colts aren’t as sexy as the Bills, but they can play defense and run the ball. It’s well into November now, as injuries and cold weather are separating the men from the boys by now. If the Colts have their whole team, they can beat the Bills. I just don’ think they can do it in Buffalo, since they’re used to playing under a roof.

Bills pound their way to victory. (8-2)

Saints

Thanksgiving Day features the Bills again, as we can all be thankful to have something to do other than recover, sweat and digest. If the Bills can maintain focus and not lose momentum in a blackout in NAHLens, they can make themselves the hottest team in the league. I have faith in Jameis, and Sean Payton, and the voodoo will be put out on the Bills and 17 this game. Beware this game. Saints defense in the dome is unlike any other and they could be competing for the division with Tom.

I have a loss. Hopefully a safe loss. (8-3)

The Final Quarter of the Season is Surviving and Advancing into the SuperBowl run.

Patriots

Who will the Patriots be by Week 13? Will they be competing with Buffalo for the division? or will they be a bonafied loser? With Bill calling the shots I think they are a very strong team this year. Mac Jones will be nested safely in a Play action / Run offense, but the front 7 of the Patriots is downright scary. Matthew Judon wearing number 9 scary. Luckily we are at home for this one and are coming off a few extra days’ rest.

Bills scrape out a tough one, BillsMafia comes through big. (9-3)

Buccaneers

If the old man Tom Brady really can manage to survive another year on his 44 year old skeleton, the Bucs have another crack at a title. They have an amazing defense with Antoine Winfield Jr becoming a young superstar. They even added another d-lineman to their terroristic front 7, with Joe Tryon future star from Washington drafted early. It will take a lot to beat the Bucs on their own turf, and don’t expect any help from the refs.

Bills show they belong, but home-field and ref advantage helps crumbling Bucs limp ahead of Bills. (9-4)

Panthers

The Bills will be angry after not finishing the Bucs. No one will be angrier than Josh Allen who will throw for about 500 yards. The Bills will take it out as a team on Darnold and the Panthers.

Bills win Big. (10-4)

Patriots

The same way the Bills will be angry about the loss to the Bucs, expect the best effort of the year from New England. By this time, they will know who they are and if Mac Jones develops into what many think he can, they could be pushing for a wildcard spot. Can the Bills play contender late? The NFL will want the Patriots to win this one, unfortunately they may with some home field advantage.

Bills split series with Pats. (10-5)

Falcons

Much like Uncle Tom Brady, Matt Ryan will have a hard time making it this far in a 17 game season on his aging skeleton. If he can, he will be tested in cold weather by the battering Bills defense. I fully expect whoever is playing QB to take a beating this day in the cold. Falcons have a decent amount of weapons and can probably make it a game if it isn’t too crappy out, as Kyle Pitts and Calvin Ridley are the real deal. Their lack of running game or defense in cold hurts hard though.

Bills romp Birds. (11-5)

Jets

This game may mean something someday, as late season Jets games did, but with so much talent around the NFL I expect the Jets to be in “mail it in” part of the year. Our starters may not play, but if we need the W we will get it.

Bills enter the playoffs at 12-5.

Stay tuned each week for Bills coverage as I do my best to be as honest as I can and temper expectations. I know the Bills are going to be good and good for as long as 17 is the leading man and healthy. The defense that Brandon Beane has assembled is capable of stopping anyone in the pass game, with new pass rushers and DBs, but can Tremaine Edmunds and co stop the run when it really counts? Teams like the Titans, Pats, Bucs, Chiefs, Colts and Saints will all be the true test to how good we can be, and how far we can go. We know Josh will have us in every game, and give us a chance to come back, I think stopping people will be the test this year. Let’s see how the Bills can prevent other teams from scoring in 2021, as we know we will be putting up high numbers on offense. I have a lot of confidence in this team, and will enjoy every game regardless of outcome! NEVER FORGET WHERE WE CAME FROM AS YOUR FANHOOD IS TESTED THIS YEAR. BE GRATEFUL FOR WHAT WE HAVE.

GOBILLS!
