Josh Allen isn’t only a great player, he is an outstanding leader of men. He has the character of the leader one thinks of in an action movie on the field, but a smooth Hollywood actor persona off the field. Somehow he mixes it all into a genuine expression that is pure and genuine. It shows through the reflections of his teammates, and colleagues.

The Buffalo Bills, a storied franchise succumb to a tomb of resting quarterbacks to not meet the heights of a Jim Kelly era have finally inked our guy. Fans can, in writing, now officially say, “We have a franchise QB.”

Allen was, as always, understanding of his role.

“I know they didn’t pay me for what I’ve done,” he said. “They did this because they expect me to continue what I’m doing, and expect me to go win this team some championships.

“We’ve got a lot of work to do. I know that. And I’m just excited to put this behind me and start focusing on football now.”

The contract is worth at least $150 million guaranteed. The deal was struck, and according to ESPN, struck at 3:45am by a call from the quarterback’s agent.

The Bills do have a lot of work to do. The schedule isn’t easy.

Here’s a great video shared from a colleague that helped really understand how NFL Contracts work.
